This week in Lisburn Cricket took in a superbly staged senior cup final at Wallace Park, and then stayed there for two home matches for the rinky dinky doos.

TWILC reports this week on a hebdomada horribilus for the 2nd XI skipper Slim and also took in a superb family fun day at Wallace Park on the 12th which featured some decent cricket 6s, a first ever win for Captain Ron’s team in the invitational match, some hotly contested sprints and a virtuoso effort from Bacardi Abe!
TWILC returns from an early summer sojourn with a bumper edition, taking in an evening with the Newsletter in Torrevieja, the Lisburn President’s Xi match at Wallace Park, having a day at sunny Bangor with Hinge & Brackett (aka Slimbo and Crowebar) before witnessing some marvellous fare at Waringstown on Sunday (and that was only the banter from Raymond Moreland, the cricket wasn’t too shabby either!). Lisburn Cricket Club is pleased to annouce that it has secured a unique sponsorship deal for its 175 anniversary.
TWILC took the trip up to Limavady on Sunday (a by no means straightforward escapade as it transpired) and enjoyed a pleasant day watching cricket (a luxury given the recent weather) and watching draws being made (or not, as it transpired)!
TWILC enjoyed a rare treat this weekend, taking in the “Legends” game that was played at Queensway between a Lisburn golden oldies XI and a team featuring some of the biggest names in Derriaghy cricket, all in aid of the Chest, Heart and Stroke charity.
